This Will Make The Secret Service Nervous

If it weren't for President O'Bama's upcoming visit to Moneygall in County Offaly, no one would know or care about a slight traffic mishap.

A vehicle loaded with explosives crashed into Donovan's hardware store yesterday, right on the main road. You can bet that someone in the Secret Service felt a bit of a heart flutter when he heard the news.

What's the first thought? Knowing that the owners of the affected shop also own the President's ancestral home, you'd start thinking conspiracy by disaffected terrorists. A link to the IRA, perhaps?

Panic sets in.

The lorry driver suffered nothing more than a sore wrist and bit of a heart flutter of his own. It's believed that something went wrong with the vehicle's mechanical underpinnings, and looking at the pictures, it's apparent that there wasn't much of a collision.

As for the explosives, they were being carried for legitimate business purposes and were not going to blow up then and there. The truck had come from an explosives factory in Nenagh and was headed to a mining site.

It was all just an ordinary, everyday sort of accident. But it happened in Moneygall, where America's President is supposed to meet and greet.

Nothing to see here, move along.

While the man charged with keeping the President safe sweats out another possible disaster scenario.
