The Dalai Lama In Dublin

While the Dalai Lama was in Dublin, he entertained the masses at the Citywest Hotel. The reason for his first visit to Ireland in twenty years was to promote a trio of charities that his Lama-ness supports.

The event was organized by Richard Moore, who founded the Children In Crossfire charity. Mr. Moore is quite familiar with crossfire. He lost an eye to a rubber bullet in Derry at the age of 10.

As you'd expect, the Dalai Lama won over the people who came to see and hear him, to bask in the glow of peace that radiates from his saffron robes.

From Dublin, the Dalai Lama has plans to travel to Limerick and other parts of the island, speaking and promoting world peace.

I have to wonder if he'll find the time to play a round of golf. And will he then stiff the caddy?
