All The Money In The World Can't Buy Happiness

A troubled man in these troubled times is Dominique Strauss-Kahn. With all the money in the world at his fingertips, you'd think he'd not be so cheap as to expect free oral sex.

The maid was there to clean his room, not provide a happy ending.

Thus far, the ending is proving to be entirely unhappy.

As head of the International Monetary Fund, able to make entire nations jump at the snap of his fingers, Mr. Strauss-Kahn took all that power to heart. He lusted after the maid who came to his Sofitel hotel room, and he took her against her will.

I don't know what they call it in his native France, but in the States it's called rape and it's quite against the law.

Somehow or other, Mr. Strauss-Kahn got wind of his criminal liability, because he barreled out of his room sans cell phone and other personal items. As fast as his little old French legs could carry him, he was on an Air France jet bound for Paris.

That's where the cops nabbed him, in his first class seat. He'll be arraigned soon enough and there'll be statements made. In France, there's rumors afloat that Sarkozy set all this up, to create a scandal around a potential presidential rival.

All the money in the world, and Dominique Strauss-Kahn was too cheap to ring up a call girl and pay for the service he desired. A maid costume? No problem. All it takes is a simple request.

Absolute power corrupts, yes?
