It will never be the same again, to listen to the Chicago Cubs on the radio.
Baseball legend Ron Santo has passed away.
We pause in our day to remember the athlete and the color commentator who brought emotion to broadcasts that might otherwise have been dismal. Ron Santo loved the Cubs, bled Cubbie blue, and was never ashamed to scream or yell at athletic inadequacy or cheer the occassional act of physical brilliance.
Farewell, Ron Santo. You may not have made the Hall of Fame in your lifetime, but for Cubs fans worldwide, you're a Hall of Famer where it counts.
